Tooth Colored and Composite Fillings
Fillings of both types replace decayed portions of your tooth to prevent the decay from spreading. Composite fillings are tooth colored, and are tougher than regular silver (or amalgam) fillings. They also allow us to keep more of your tooth’s natural structure intact, and are preferred in most cases. We promote conservative dentistry and beautiful, natural smiles.
Crowns, also known as caps, are covers made to look like your natural teeth. They fit securely and can conceal discolored, cracked, chipped or injured teeth in a way that significantly improves your smile. Crowns provide additional support for your teeth, and are typically used when traditional fillings aren’t practical. Dental crowns are typically made from porcelain to create a natural appearance.
Dental bridges are literally a bridge to fill in the gap caused by one or more missing teeth. Typically supported by your own teeth, the bridge (or false teeth) are called pontics and can be made from a combination of porcelain, ceramics or gold. Don’t let missing teeth ruin your smile or detract from your self-confidence!
Dentures & Partials
Dentures are removable replacements for missing teeth and the tissue that surrounds them. They come in two primary types: complete (or full) and partial.
Complete dentures are natural-looking false teeth that are an excellent option for patients who have lost or had their natural teeth removed. They are precision-crafted and molded to comfortably fit the shape of your mouth.
Partial dentures are used when some natural healthy teeth still remain, and fill the gaps between these teeth. They are held in place with precision devices (either metal or tooth-colored clasps) that attach to the natural teeth on the sides. Partial dentures can improve speech, prevent sagging of lips and cheeks and provide an effective solution for effective and comfortable chewing.
